Yuri Gregarian and the cosmos


I think this suit was the first one in space... but I could be wrong.
Trying to find an open museum is luck. I happened upon
this place and was elated at all the interesting things that were there.

 

But for the most part, this place was cool and you could still get
ancient souviners... or what looked like ancient souviners. I picked up a packet of postcard of Yuri Gregarian's first flight.




This is Belka and Strelka, the very first animals in space. I think it was luck that they
a) found a man insane enough to go up in a rocket and b) he came back alive. I think
a lot of Russian rockets blew up into itty bitty pieces, just like the American ones did.
